The latest RokDoc release, 2025.1, introduces powerful enhancements to the Platform and Reservoir Characterization modules. Discover how these innovations can elevate your reservoir characterization projects and deliver better insights

Visualization Enhancements

In our latest release, we've focused on enhancing workflow efficiency through improved visualization tools.

This update streamlines the process of documenting section views, making it easier to manage numerous sections and zoom levels. A horizontal scale in the section viewer now offers users necessary spatial reference and display customization. The map viewer now automatically highlights the displayed data from the section viewer, providing clear context at a glance.

Additionally, users can customize the colors and sizes of the section lines to ensure optimal visibility and contrast with their chosen mapping colors, making the entire process more intuitive and efficient.

Saved Views

In our latest update, we've introduced Session View Saving, which allows users to bookmark specific views in 3D sessions. Selecting a saved view instantly toggles to the exact inline, crossline, or arbitrary line at the precise zoom level used when the view was saved.

This feature eliminates the need for mass re-capture of section images, saving significant time when updating results in presentations. Additionally, a new camera button on the menu bar lets you save the section view directly to a file.

Ready to Print

We've further reduced the effort required for annotation by introducing options to display well names in the margins instead of directly in the section view. This enhancement eliminates the need for manual PowerPoint labels, streamlining the documentation process. Users can color the well name text by well colors or choose a single color for consistency. We've also added an image overlay option, allowing users to incorporate elements like a company logo or a map.

Multiple images can be added, resized, and moved around the plot area, offering greater flexibility and customization.

Data Interaction

We've enhanced user interaction by enabling mouse wheel scrolling for color bars. This feature allows users to quickly and intuitively adjust color scales, making it easier to fine-tune visualizations on the fly. With this improvement, navigating through color options becomes seamless, enhancing the overall efficiency and precision of data interpretation.

Performance

In our latest update, we've significantly optimized Ji-Fi calculations, reducing the "Initializing" time on 2D lines of section by up to 8x.

This enhancement accelerates interactive calculations on 2D lines, including arbitrary lines on 3D surveys and full 2D survey lines, as well as all 2D exports. These improvements ensure a more efficient and streamlined workflow, which allows users to focus more on analysis and less on waiting.

We look forward to continuing to hear your feedback for future RokDoc releases!
